How it works

Inspect recipient delivery failures. SES feedback updates the email timeline and emits email.bounced. Check the bounce type, subtype, and diagnostic message before deciding what to do.

Things to know

Permanent bounces and complaints add team suppressions. A transient bounce represents SES exhausting its retries and does not automatically suppress the address. Delivery feedback is emitted separately for each reported recipient.
