How it works

Retrieve HTML, plain text, headers, and raw MIME. Retrieve an email by ID. The default html_format=data_uri inlines CID images. Request html_format=cid to preserve Content-ID references.

Things to know

Webhook payloads carry metadata only. Messages that fail parsing or exceed decoded limits retain raw MIME but have empty decoded content. Raw MIME is bounded to 40 MiB; decoded HTML, text, and headers together to 600 KiB. An individual inline image above 6 MiB or an expanded HTML result above 8 MiB falls back to CID references.
